I've always been an independent person, but when I was 19 and my dad passed away, things got real.

 As we were trying to come to terms with everything, everyone looked to me to take care of my family.  I felt I had to put my dreams aside and take care of my family.   I had to handle bills, insurance, and most of all how to sell our family home and buy a new one so that we could have a fresh start.

I was not taught this in school, so  I had to figure it out as I went.  It was so terrifying to realize that I was about to buy the most expensive thing in my life, but had no clue how to do it.   

Life can be overwhelming sometimes. 

How do you know if you're making the right decision and doing the right thing for yourself and those you care about?

As I was the eldest child,  I felt the pressure to shoulder the responsibility and make sure I take care of my family.

Looking back on it now, and knowing what I know,  I would've changed a few things.

You don't know, what you don't know.

Although the agent I worked with was so nice and caring, I wish we knew what to ask for.  I wasn't sure what I was signing and I didn't know if they added any more terms for our benefit.    

 So I took a deep breath, signed the papers, and hoped for the best.    

  In the end, we were able to sell our family home; and then bought a new home to make new memories in.

   I always reflect on this experience from a decade and a half ago and wondered if there was a reason why real estate is such a mystery. 

A lot of people always assume that I got into real estate for the money.  Real estate is a tough business and there are so many other ways to make good money, but that’s not why I chose to be a realtor.  My biggest motivation is to help people,  I remember what it was like when I was trying to buy my first home with my mom, it was very intimidating and stressful. 

 There are so many big milestones in a lifetime and buying a home is a pretty big deal. 

 So I decided to become an agent and share what I know.  Now that I have this new-found knowledge and expertise in real estate, I want to help!    I want to give you the tools you need to know what you're doing and to allow you to make educated decisions. I want to be your guide in this real estate market and help you with all your real estate needs.  I'll be there when you feel overwhelmed and I will be there when we celebrate our successes!
